2019 Water Rate proposal
The Santa Fe Irrigation District (District) Board of Directors (Board) is considering a proposal for increasing potable and recycled water rates & revised single family water rate structure. The public notification period to consider adoption of this proposal has begun. Customers of record will be sent a notice of the January 16, 2020 public hearing at 8:30 a.m. at the District's Office (5920 Linea del Cielo, Rancho Santa Fe, CA) where the Board will consider adoption of this proposal. This notice also includes summarized information on the proposal and protest instructions. This notice is included below, see "Proposition 218 Notice."
The District hired an independent rate consultant to determine how best to meet revenue requirements and keep pace with projected inflation over a three-year period (approximately 3% per year). The District will conduct a series of informational public meetings to discuss the proposed water rate adjustments and answer questions about how customers’ water bills may be impacted. Please see below for currently scheduled meeting dates, times and locations.
