Santa Fe Irrigation District Board to Discuss Rate Increase

Santa Fe

The SFID Board of Directors will discuss a rate increase at its regularly scheduled Board of Director’s meeting, Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 8:30am.

The Board previously approved a three year water rate increase that took effect June 1, 2016. This January 1, 2018 will be the last of the three year approved rate increases. The Board will review and discuss the recommended rate increase for 2018 along with a pass-through increase from the San Diego County Water Authority. The agenda is posted on the District’s website (www.sfidwater.org/agenda) and the public is encouraged to attend.

Keeping costs as low as possible has been a central focus of the District for many years and the District’s rates are among the lowest in the entire County.

The Santa Fe Irrigation District has continued to practice excellence and transparency in financial management and budgeting practices. With a AAA credit rating from Standard and Poor’s, and a nine-time annual recipient of the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the District is working hard to keep its cost low while maintaining financial strength and responsible operations.
