[ARCHIVED] Join us for Public Hearing on Water Rates

As a reminder, the public hearing on the proposed water rate increase will be held on  Tuesday, March 28 at 8:30 a.m. at the SFID offices in Rancho Santa Fe. 

The public is invited to attend and have their voice heard regarding the proposed water rates increase. 

There are various ways to view the meeting and THREE ways to provide public comment to the Board of Directors.  

  • VIEW ONLY:
  • VIEW and  COMMENT
    • In-person at 5920 Linea del Cielo - please submit a speaker slip upon arrival (3 minutes maximum per person, or you may give your time to another person)
    • Via Zoom webinar - You will be able to "Raise Your Hand" and comment during a designated time of the meeting 
  • COMMENT ONLY 
    • Submit your comments (limited to 300 words or have a reading limit of 3 minutes) by 7:30 a.m. on March 28 to cmcdowell@sfidwater.org or dropped at the SFID offices at 5920 Linea del Cielo

If you cannot attend and wish to submit a protest, please provide a note to the District by the beginning of the public meeting on March 28. Per California law, a wet signature is required. You cannot email your protest. A standard protest form can be found on the Proposition 218 notice sent to your home. Or you can submit a piece of paper stating you oppose the rate increase with your name, property address or APN number, and signature. It is optional to include a reason for your opposition.
