[ARCHIVED] Board to Discuss New Agricultural Rate

The Administrative and Finance Committee of the SFID Board will discuss the proposed agricultural rate at the August 10 meeting. This meeting will be held in person at the SFID offices at 5920 Linea del Cielo in Rancho Santa Fe. The new agricultural rate includes a pass through of the San Diego County Water Authority's Permanent Special Agricultural Water Rate (PSAWR) which is a discounted rate offered by the Water Authority in exchange for less supply reliability. In the event that allocations due to emergency or drought occur, agricultural customers will be asked to cut back their use. The rate being discussed will set the agricultural water rate at $4.91 per HCF. An application fee of $35 and program participation fee of $29.50 per billing cycle is also being proposed. The A & F committee will discuss the rate and then pass on a recommendation to the full Board of Directors to consider at the August 19 meeting. The board memo is available at the link, and can be found under Agenda and Minutes on the website. All interested parties are welcome to attend the meeting being held on August 10 at 9 a.m. at the District office. Public comment will be heard during that time, or can be sent via email before 7:30 a.m. to
