The District offers all customers alternative payment plans if they should have the inability to pay their water bill at the required time. These payment plans include a one-time 30 day extension of the due date or splitting the bill amount into three equal monthly installments (interest free). These options are offered once per year to every customer wishing to take advantage of this provision. If you should want to inquire about this option, please call 858-756-2424 and speak with a customer service representative.

Per Senate Bill 998, a water provider (including Santa Fe Irrigation District) cannot discontinue water service to a customer for non-payment if there is a household member that is medically vulnerable. This medical vulnerability must be demonstrated through the certification of such by the individual’s primary care provider, which must be provided to the Santa Fe Irrigation District to qualify for this provision. ** Any household who has a resident that falls under this category, please contact customerservice@sfidwater.org to discuss the required documentation to comply with this provision **

** Per SB998, the Santa Fe Irrigation is disclosing that it had 86 residential shut-offs in CY25 **
